Well, It's not that simple.

Do you have a wireless access point? If so, what brand is it? it is 802.11a, 802.11b, 802.11g, or some combo of the forementioned? If it is a combo what is the combo?

Are you using it to connect to a wireless service provider? If so is it a service provider like T-Mobile that has a series of hotspots or a fixed wireless providers that provider a wireless link to your house? If it is a fixed wireless provider then most likely the provider is going to install the wireless equipment at your house.

Are you just wanting to war drive with it? If that is the case then I would go to the web site of the software that you plan on using to war drive and read their documentation as to what wireless cards and models are supported.

You can't necessarily get a wireless card, plug it in and surf the internet. The card has to have a access point to talk to, whether it's your access point, a public hotspot, or a service provided by a wireless provider.
