| Body | Aida32 is an all-encompassing system information and benchmarking tool that allows you to view everything from your system configuration to your hardware profiles (including your motherboard and external devices), and even your computer's display and regional settings in a clear and manageable format. For laptops, it also shows the power management settings. The interface is easily navigable, and can display reports in a variety of textual formats, including plain text, HTML or XML. The included benchmarking utility also allows you to test your system's memory read/write capabilities.
Aida32 allows you to generate different types of reports in different ways. The Report Wizard allows you to generate a system report and then save it, print it, or send it by e-mail. You can also get a "Quick Report" on a particular area by highlighting a section and selecting Quick Report from the toolbar. It is also possible to generate reports remotely using the NetReport Wizard.
The utility gathers benchmarking information from its main server, which stores information on nearly 30,000 configurations. Aida32 can also be used to audit networks, and can be used as a sniffer when the server is run in SILENT mode.
Aida32 also comes with a debugging utility that covers everything from PCI and video card dump to system BIOS information. Plugins include CPUID, Disk Benchmark, Monitor Diagnostics, and Network Benchmark. Using NetUpdate to automatically update your program with the newest database entries is easy and painless, and even included on the Web section of the tool bar are web links ranging from sites on over clocking and modding to IT news and software downloads.
This is without a doubt one of the best Sysinfo programs I've come across. It allows for a great deal of information gathering without having to wade through your system to find configuration specifics. Best of all, it's freeware, so if you like to diagnose system errors yourself or just want to learn more about your system and how it works, this is an excellent program for you. You can download it here.
Overall I'd give it a 5 out of 5. |
