Update on CA(U) Certifications| Category | | | Summary | | The progress on CyberArmy University's Certifications project has been hindered in the past few months. With the start of a new year, CAU saw much promise. This has yet to translate into any development however. There are two main tracks of development in |

As far as the phsyical framework, the rather extensive documentation for this project has been completed and has been the case for quite some time now. The testing engine, essentially the backbone of the project, has also long since been completed. Now we focus our attention on the actual site design for certifications. CAU's two main webdesigners, Socrat and outlaw have both been extremely busy with real life commitments (congrats to Socrat on being CA's newest daddy).
A number of webdesigners from both CAU and CA volunteered and were contacted. Some undertook the layout and design of an index page for Certifications (this seemed a sensible place to start). Sadly, CAU had no submissions returned. So we again open our arms to the webdesigners in CA and abroad. Is anyone interested? Failing volunteers, CAU has a last trick up our sleeve. Watch for developments on either the public or members01 forum should it come to this.
What Certifications?
At the end of last year, an index page for Certifications went live, along with some informational pages. Previously, the only brigade that had really shown an interest in actually compiling some certifications (and helping build the program) was the CyberArmy Privacy Comission, along with a few higher ranking individuals like CinC snarkles.
With the launch of an all-encompassing How to Contribute page essentially explaining how each and every member of CyberArmy could participate, we had hoped more people would volunteer and get involved. This didn't happen, and not much progress on the development of actual certifications has since occurred. An outline of a certification course has been prepared by CinC snarkles and can be viewed below as an example.
