Summary

Greetings, everyone!
Summer is slowly winding down, and with fall around the corner, the CyberArmy community is getting ready to kick into high gear.

Body

The past couple months there has been progress on several fronts, including:

The Files Repository feature which, in addition to providing a nice centralized place for files pertinent to CyberArmy and its members, can also be used as a method for collaboration among brigades and for software development projects.
OSI's new pastebin module, a useful tool for helping people to debug code.
CAU Knowledge Bank has developed a ratings system for their tutorials. Head over to the KB, fill your head with some knowledge, and leave behind your opinions on the documents there!
The Projects Wiki was started, in an effort to create a resource for brigade management, as well as provide a method for the community at large to provide definitions for the various roles in CA.
IdleRPG has been keeping us busy in between working hours. ;)

The next few months we'll be focusing on several fronts, such as:

Opening CyberArmy.net website development to the membership at large. This should provide a lot of great opportunities for allowing members to participate in the ins and outs of software development, as well as help expedite the addition of new features and improvements to the site. Start brushing up on your Perl, folks. ;)
Liaisoning with other privacy, open source, and security advocacy groups.
More external promotion for CyberArmy and the brigades, using both advertising and also more grassroots word-of-mouth style promotion.
Creating additional site features to faciliate coordination and management of projects that brigades are doing.

That's about it for this month! I hope everyone had a great summer and maybe even saw a little sunshine now and then! ;)
