Board Digest from February the 1st untill March the 1st

Category
CyberArmy
Summary
It's Board Digest day, so I'll be giving you the... Board Digest!

The board digest from February the 1st untill 1st of March.

I will be writing the Board Digest on a permanent basis from now on so I hope you'll enjoy my writing.

There have
Body

It seems that whole new generation of CyberArmy is taking over, there were a lot of resignations by brigade C/O's, and the younger people are now taking over.

A Note from elm

I would like to comment on a couple of things before we proceed. First of all I think that from time to time we forget to remind members of our community that they do a good job and we appreciate it.

CAU- I am not as familiar with this brigade as I was at one point. I know for a fact that you guys keep on teaching classes. I see them advertised from time to time and remind myself that the members of CAU are doing what they have always done and doing it well. I am proud of the fact that a part of our community is dedicated to education. Keep up the good work guys.

CPC- I still think that this brigade is vital to our community. Threats to our privacy are as really as they have ever been. I am especially proud of my friend IG for taking over CO of this brigade. I know that he is going to continue to make this brigade excel. Good job CPC people.

OSI- I have never been very familiar with the specific projects of this brigade. I can say two things about OSI. The first is I know some members of this brigade, and they are some of the smartest people I have ever known. The second is I hear nothing but good things from other people about this brigade. Once again I am proud to be part of a community with this group of people. Continue to do good work.

Spec.Ops.- Like most people what I know about this brigade is limited. What I do know is that this brigade is the best of the best. In this community that is saying quite a bit. I know people in SpecOps, and they are better than good. It’s almost unfathomable for a lamer like me. I know you guys are doing good things for our community even if I don’t always see it. Being better than good is a tough job, I am glad that someone is willing to do it. Keep on up the solid effort.

RR- Readyresponse was reputed to have been created some time around the creation of the pyramids. I have seen this brigade do brigade work over two years. Their work on red lib and distributed computing are phenomenal. This is a group of people who have at the core of their brigade the concept that they will make a difference. Keep up the good work red team.

CIA- What can I say about CIA? This brigade has experienced some extreme changes since the site came back up. They managed to adapt and become in my opinion a stronger benefit to the community as whole. Their work continues to be exceptionally valuable. Good work guys keep on doing it.

CAIRC- This brigade is one of the back bones of Cyberarmy. Without this real time communication our community would be lessened. This is one of the hard working brigades that always keeps going. We usually don't see huge projects out of this brigade. Their spectacular contribution is continual. I cannot say enough about how important I feel this is to this community;s survival.

CASR- This brigade serves a vital purpose within our society. I have to wonder how many people have been protected over the last few years by the diligent work of this brigade. It truly makes a lamer like me feel safe. Awesome work. I do not know many of you, but again it makes me sit up a little straighter in my chair when I realize you are part of the same community I am. Good job people.

CASAS- This is my own brigade so I am of course slightly biased. DigitalDemon I know you are going to continue to be a powerful leader as the CO of SAS. I am still proud to know you. Projects like zzine, and Morale remind me of why I am part of this brigade. Keep moving forward guys, the future is so bright, I gotta wear shades.

Staff- I am at a loss for good words here. What you guys do every week should make us all feel proud. Thanks for continuing to fund and host the site. I know it is not cheap or easy. I know that it is a thankless job most days. So thanks.

The second thing I would like to comment on is the talk about war on the boards. I know this is a major issue and I have no problem with it being debated.

I would like to remind both sides of something. Neither side has the exclusive right to claim that their side is the good side. I see this from both pro and anti war people on the boards. This global conflict is about politics, like all wars. That applies equally to both sides. If the anti war people think that a lot of the opposition to war is not based on European dependence on Iraqi oil I think they are confused. If the pro war people think that America is not going to war to bolster President Bush’s ratings and because of their need for oil I think they are confused.

As a whole I am staying out of this debate. I would just be a lot happier if both sides would drop the idea that they are morally correct and the other side of the debate is evil.

As usual the previous statements are just my opinion. And now I will tune you back into normally scheduled programming.

Now a summary of the boards I am able to view.
