Zebulun And Sered

Category
CyberArmy
Summary
This article is all about CA members opinions on Sered and Zebulun , what they're hoping for in Sered , what they didnt like about Zeb , and more
Body
There were some who liked zeb, and didn't want sered, some vice versus , some didn't care much either way ? and some;

they both suck, they were and will be a way to drag people into the false dream that is CyberArmy. (Ret. Ltker. guandi)

And some didn't like either.

I think Sered will cater for people who like challenges. I know that not everyone does, but it'll be good for a rainy afternoon. It'll also attract more people to CA. I was brought here initially by the challenges, but stayed on for the brigades, and I suspect that will continue with Sered. ( Ltker. Makat)

A good opinion , both were as good as each other , And very good for CyberArmy .

My expectations on sered and Zebulun, hmm, well I think that the new sered should be a lot more knowledge based not just hacking challenges but general knowledge as well and also i found certain challenges impossible, not that they weren't fun, but perhaps a little more 'user friendly' I know for a fact that a certain challenge made a few people leave and also perhaps an interactive challenge something like teaming up with others of the same rank to defeat some large team as such building CA's teamwork even more as for Zebulun, perhaps that could be an area for the ranks so maybe a board for each rank, so they can at times, talk to their own rank without other ranks intruding perhaps like a kind of extended office. Tr. Ploy

Some high expectations for Sered , Will we be disappointed? Some good general ideas for CyberArmy also ?

Zebulun was great as a game. It actually is what brought me to this community in the first place. I was on an exchange year to the US and was looking for something fun to do during computer classes. I got stuck with it, learned a lot and played it until I reached LtKer? As I said, it was a great game and responsible for a lot of frustration and joy on my side, however it had a huge downside: You gained CyberArmy rank by completing it. This caused a lot of cheating and competition within the community.

The upcoming Sered challenges however are likely to have kept the positive aspects of Zebulun, while the ranksplit has made sure that there is no real cause for cheating or competition of any kind, eliminating the downsides of the former Zebulun. I am looking forward to quite

a few hours of gaming just for the fun of it, without having to worry about reaching certain ranks. To summarize it: Zebulun was great, but Sered will (hopefully) be even better.

Anther with hopes for Sered , and I'm sure many more out there agree with the ?Zebulun was great, but Sered will (hopefully) be even better.? part, I myself do .

Now seeing as this in a Zebulun and Sered Article, we tried to get some Sered information , and who better to go to , then the one and only , Mar. Xenographic

He sent us this message:

I cannot confirm or deny whether I know anything about Sered or any specifics thereof, including but not limited to storyline, design, implementation, testbed servers, technologies nor anything about any 0mega operations which might or might not be commensurate with the revelation of Sered to the masses, including but not limited to the 0mega Strike Force, mole operatives, decoys, intentional leaks, declassified or declassification of materials, methods or sources. I cannot comment on any rumours, jokes, operations or research conducted by the group known as "chaldev" including whether or not such a group actually exists or not. I cannot comment on what role things including but not limited to game theory, elliptic curves, differential analysis, MU* technology, AI, functional or numerical analysis, and coding might or might not play in hypothetical challenges. In fact, the only thing I can confirm for you is that there is no spoon & that you can publish this for all those who keep asking :]

And five points to anyone who can make head nor tale of that .
