Summary
Once again it's board digest time. This month scanjack and the members of staff decided that it was time to try and kill elm. To date I can see eight more forums than I could the last time I wrote this.
Body
There are too many boards at this point for me to sum them all up in one simple phrase any more. Over the last month or so many people have gone a little crazy and made like monkeys all over the boards. On the other hand, the majority of people have done what they always do, and continued to work hard and be civil on the boards. Thanks for that.

I would like to address one general issue that has come up quite a bit lately. Several people have been asking, what is the purpose of Cyberarmy? What do we hope to accomplish?

Sometimes I forget why I am here. Sometimes I think about things like rank, and structure, and who got promoted this week. I came here in the beginning because someone explained to me what carnivore and echelon were. At first I thought this friend was lying. It seemed like some sort of modern conspiracy theory. So I read up on it. When I got into the BBCs offical website and found information about echelon I knew that it was real.

That is when I started looking for a way to fight back. Surely someone had to be doing something. That is about the time another friend showed me Cyberarmy. It wasn't perfect, but this many people moving in the same direction must have had some impact. I cannot say that I found what I expected.

I will say that I still see a potential to be something of a great magnitude. I am still here because I still believe this can be done. I have more faith in the current leadership than any leadership prior to this one.

So what exactly am I talking about? I'm talking about creating a vision again. I think we can do this. I hear people saying, "We only have 900 to 1000 active members now." This always gives me a chuckle. Frankly, that should be plenty of people to get a hell of a lot done. What I am saying is, stop asking the wrong questions. We have an idea of what Cyberarmy is now. Start asking what do we want Cyberarmy to be. Start asking what is the vision for the future.

Once we get to that point, we will be sitting where we want to be.

CyberArmy Help & Support

As usual no one gave me anything good to write about. I'm not surprised. This board did what it is designed to do this month. People asked questions, and other people came along with answers. We have started doing a much better job of keeping this board for CA problems.

Members' General Discussion

Theaybss made an interesting post about what rewards CA members would like to have for hard work. http://www.cyberarmy.com/forum/members01/messages/65595.html

Aimee made a post about the CA comic idea. I support this idea both because it supports good morale and attracts outside people to our site. Go check it out. http://www.cyberarmy.com/forum/members01/messages/65110.html

D-Cypell made a post about what has been dubbed by staff as "silly season". Happy New Year D-Cypell. http://www.cyberarmy.com/forum/members01/messages/63998.html

Happy New Year from the CinC. http://www.cyberarmy.com/forum/members01/messages/63536.html

The scanjack made a post that a lot of people did not agree with. Just for clarity let me state that SJ never stated that he agreed with this site or what is represents. http://www.cyberarmy.com/forum/members01/messages/62770.html

Thanks for pointing this one out hellz. I don't care what people say, you are still the man. http://www.cyberarmy.com/forum/members01/messages/62403.html

Pengo posted a resignation. Just my thoughts of course, but I would rather change domain names than lose the work that wa1800z brings to this community. I hope this situation is handled. I would hate to lose the support of the founder of this organization.

A lot of people said Happy Holidays. I hope everyone had good ones.

CyberArmy Lounge

Aimee showed us where to get a gangster name. Slimy Crack Robba says, go check it out. http://www.jasonschock.com/gangsta/index.php

Octopus made a post calling people animals. I am not an animal. http://www.cyberarmy.com/forum/members02/messages/62672.html

Basically, you are still a bunch of spamers. I will say that I think that Aimee has taken over as head spamer in charge of spam.

CyberArmy Public Forum

UIO made a post about an upcoming writing class. Thanks UIO (and adtrace). http://www.cyberarmy.com/forum/public/messages/65889.html

This board has been doing an excellent job of mostly sticking to computer related questions and answers. Let's keep it that way sense it is what the search engines actually crawl.

Brigade Coordination Forum

Skerzhner let us know that the CIA's site is back up and Leto has returned. http://www.cyberarmy.com/forum/bcoord/messages/65119.html

Morale had a meeting last month. Good job staying active.

http://www.cyberarmy.com/forum/bcoord/messages/64693.html

CAIRC's website is up. I encourage everyone to go check it out, or your friends will laugh at you. http://www.cyberarmy.com/forum/bcoord/messages/60818.html

CIA put up their annual report. Good job to these guys, I constant change has been the way of CIA this year. http://www.cyberarmy.com/forum/bcoord/messages/60336.html

CPC also put up their annual report. Good job always being out front CPC. http://www.cyberarmy.com/forum/bcoord/messages/58563.html

Brigade Recruitment Forum

As it usually is I don't have much to say about this forum. People ask for jobs, people get jobs. It's like one big happy classified section in the newspaper.

CyberArmy Ideals

This forum is filled with things that are going on in the world and people's understanding of those events. I could not bring myself to decide which things on this forum were more important than the rest. I suggest going and reading it yourselves.

Security, OS Issues, and Programming

These boards seem to be full of a lot of good information if you care about such things, and are not a lamer like some writers and editors here. I could have decided to pick out certain pieces of this information and laid it out here so it looked like I know what I'm talking about. As fun as that sounded it seemed kind of lame so I didn't

Rank-Based Forums

Obviously I can't say too much about the content of these forums. I will say that I support the idea. Many people have argued against based on the thought that rank has no meaning. At one point in CA I would have agreed with that. Rank still isn't the best judge of the person, but it does mean something now.

I hope people continue to get use out of these forums.

OMG if I see another forum I'm going to throw up ~nt
