Interview with Marshall Dimplesx

Category
Humor
Summary
With several recent interviews going out to the CA-Staff, I decided to interview who, in my opinion, is one of the most respected and dedicated members of CA, and I'm sure many will agree with me.

Body
Mar. Dimplesx joined CA over 2 years ago, and has been a priceless help in numerous ways to CA and to it's members, too many ways to list here. She was the first female CA member to reach the rank of Marshall, and now continues working hard on CA-Staff to make CA better than it currently is.

This interview offers the readers some insight into the lovable character of Mar. Dimplesx.

I hope you enjoy reading it as much as I enjoyed giving the interview. :-)

<XCoyote> Firstly thank you for taking the time for this interview =)

<Di]v[pLeS> Your welcome :o)

<XCoyote> We'll start of with the CA questions first.

<XCoyote> How did you start in CA?

<Di]v[pLeS> I started in CA when they became a channel on axenet. I was a CSop on that network and had meet 11thangel on there. I then started going into the channel #cyberarmy and thought it would be cool to get +o in such a big channel hee, hee. Plus, there was this chica on axenet I was not to fond of and she had +% (half-ops), which really pissed me off.

<Di]v[pLeS> I started talking to some of the guys in the channel and they told me there was no females in cyberarmy with a rank higher then Kernel at that time. Well, this was the ultimate challenge for me!

<Di]v[pLeS> So, I signed up and started doing the challenges. I got up to Captain very fast...eliza was very nice to me :o)

<XCoyote> How long have you been with CA?

<Di]v[pLeS> 2 years and some months

<XCoyote> Where do you see CA's future going?

<Di]v[pLeS> I see it going in a positive direction. Alot of our members are becoming more mature. With the seperation of the challenges, where the rank does not depend on what challenge you past, there is a lot less of the "hacker wannabe" attitude going on. Cyberarmy is slowly cleaning up their image and giving the members more direction and more specifics about what is expected of them.

<Di]v[pLeS> With all of that, we are seeing a more serious membership in Cyberarmy then before.

<XCoyote> Any memories in CA that you would like to share?

<Di]v[pLeS> LOL

<XCoyote> =)

<Di]v[pLeS> I will never forget the first time I removed a ban in #cyberarmy. It was placed by wa1800z, who is younger but still outranks me. After doing it, I thought I had killed his dog. He was very upset with this and told me clearly to never remove a ban he had placed again. This was my first dealing with respecting higher ranks.

<XCoyote> lol

<XCoyote> Any advice to people starting out in CA?

<Di]v[pLeS> RUN ! RUN LIKE HELL!

<Di]v[pLeS> lol

<Di]v[pLeS> j/k

<XCoyote> lol, and while your running? any advice =p

<Di]v[pLeS> My advice would be: find your place in Cyberarmy. It may take awhile and you may join a lot of different brigades but it is a great community if you give it a chance. You can only make cyberarmy what you want it to be. If you are miserable here and do not enjoy it, then it is best to move on rather then stay and upset the community with your dislike of Cyberarmy.

MISC QUESTIONS

<XCoyote> How old are you? , if i dare ask =)

<Di]v[pLeS> 3

<Di]v[pLeS> lol

<Di]v[pLeS> 28 years old

<XCoyote> Interests, Hobbies?

<Di]v[pLeS> My interests as of today LOL...I am interested in learning C and get my A+ Certification. I am working on all this through my current job. Hobbies are webdesign and giving out Web Awards. I just got into the Web Award Community on the interenet and so far is has been really fun and challenging.

<Di]v[pLeS> God I am a geek

<XCoyote> lol

<XCoyote> erm no comment -_-

<XCoyote> Are you really a blond or is that just a clever disguise?

<Di]v[pLeS> lol

<Di]v[pLeS> I can neither confirm or deny.

<Di]v[pLeS> or

<Di]v[pLeS> I plead the 5th

<XCoyote> can you confirm nor deny confriming nor denying that statement?

<XCoyote> o.O

<Di]v[pLeS> I can confirm I am a blonde and it is no disguise because sometimes I am sooooooooooo blonde. I have an edumacation too.

<XCoyote> lol

<XCoyote> *clears throat* okay..neeeeext question =)

<XCoyote> Whats your martial status ;-)?

<Di]v[pLeS> :P

<Di]v[pLeS> I break out in a rash when I hear the Wedding March...so I am single :o)

<XCoyote> rotfl

* XCoyote is playing: wedding march 128bps 3:15

<Di]v[pLeS> lol

* Di]v[pLeS starts to itch

<XCoyote> What do you look for in a guy? if you look in a guy at all ( if that makes sense )

<Di]v[pLeS> lol

<Di]v[pLeS> My big thing is intelligence. He must be a nerd! But I also like a roughneck. So it is very hard to find a roughneck nerd...over the age of 20.

<XCoyote> lol okay =)

<XCoyote> How many CA-staff does it take to screw in a light bulb?

<Di]v[pLeS> hahahahahahaha

* XCoyote waits for his 10,000 year ban =)

<Di]v[pLeS> None....We can't afford light bulbs!

<XCoyote> ROTFL.. good answer =)

<Di]v[pLeS> :o)

<XCoyote> How did you get into the ca-staff/marshall buisness?

<Di]v[pLeS> Well, unlike popular rumors I hear..I did not sleep my way to the top, or cyber or show my boobs LOL...I think alot is the support I give Cyberarmy with the IRC Network and the time and dedication I put into it. If you honestly work hard in CA, you will move up. Just as long as you keep it fun and a positive attitude, you would be amazed how far it will take you.

<Di]v[pLeS> Plus, I bitched about a promotion one time and pengo shut me up by putting me up a rank; I think it was more to show me how easy it wasn't going to be.

<XCoyote> K great. Thank you once again for your time. =) and may the Force be with you =)
