Attention Spanish Internetusers!| Category | | | Summary | How secure is our personal info in Spain while we use Internet?
|
| | Body | Looks like LSSI is going to start in Spain.
What's LSSI? LSSI is a law that ables police and judges to fetch data from electronic sources (emails, DNS, ISP...).
The 'official law for data protection' would dissapear in digital means if this LSSI goes on.
What can you do? There are several rules you must follow if you want your information confidential:
1) If you have a *.es domain, change/transfer it to *.et (Ethiopia), which is the next in TLD's.
2) Hosting, of course, must be outside Spain.
3) If you own a virtual-shop, avoid to use a spanish bank for retrieving your customer's money. This is very important, banks use to ask you the more information as possible.
4) If you want to use Fax or Voicemail for letting customers to contact you, go to <a>http://www.efax.com[/url], where you can get a free account.
5) Avoid spanish ISP's SMTP, they are highly dangerous for your personal info.
6) Mask your IP as much as possible: Bouncers, Wingates (or even your hosting server telnet), proxys...
That is all for the moment. Take care of your identity, you never know when it could be useful. |
