How to get your IP.

Here's how to get yours, go to msdos and type:

winipcfg

How to get someone elses IP.
  1. Peer 2 peer connection When having a direct point to point, peer to peer (or whatever you want to call it) connection, just go to Ms-dos and type the following command: netstat -an Copy the output to a file called IP1.txt Now close your connection with the other person. Perform the command again and copy it to a file called IP2.txt. Compare the two files, the IP that is NOT in IP2.txt but IS in IP1.txt is the other persons IP. Example: TCP 0.0.0.0:27374 0.0.0.0:0 LISTENING TCP 127.0.0.1:1551 0.0.0.0:0 LISTENING TCP 127.0.0.1:1076 0.0.0.0:0 LISTENING TCP 127.0.0.1:1482 0.0.0.0:0 LISTENING TCP 192.168.0.2:1584 64.4.12.175:1863 ESTABLISHED TCP 192.168.0.2:1075 64.4.13.37:1863 ESTABLISHED TCP 192.168.0.2:1609 64.4.12.169:1863 ESTABLISHED TCP 192.168.0.2:1399 64.67.238.210:6667 ESTABLISHED TCP 192.168.0.2:137 0.0.0.0:0 LISTENING TCP 192.168.0.2:138 0.0.0.0:0 LISTENING TCP 192.168.0.2:139 0.0.0.0:0 LISTENING TCP 192.168.0.2:1175 0.0.0.0:0 LISTENING TCP 192.168.0.2:14554 0.0.0.0:0 LISTENING TCP 192.168.0.2:16109 0.0.0.0:0 LISTENING UDP 0.0.0.0:6543 *:* UDP 0.0.0.0:1174 *:* UDP 127.0.0.1:1551 *:* UDP 127.0.0.1:1076 *:* UDP 127.0.0.1:1482 *:* UDP 192.168.0.2:137 *:* UDP 192.168.0.2:138 *:* UDP 192.168.0.2:1175 *:* UDP 192.168.0.2:16109 *:* I underlined the IP for your ease..
Note: A p2p connection is for example when you chat with someone over MSN or ICQ. So you make a direct connection with the other person. Get it? If not, mail me.
  2. When you recieve a mail from him. Enable the full headers option, open a mail and you will see something like this: From: "contact name" "contact name" is Online, but currently Busy To: "Your name" Save Address Subject: Subject here Date: Fri, 1 Jan 2002 20:58:22 +0200 MIME-Version: vers-number X-Originating-IP: [213.224.83.134] -> THIS IS WHAT WE NEED ...truncated... ok in this example the IP would be 213.224.83.134, easy, very ease !
  3. At a secured mIRC chat. Ask him to send you a file or to DCC and it will reveil his IP =)
  4. And if that didn't work. Maybe you could do some searches on the net for posts by him. IPs are most of the times reveiled at forums...
That's all !
