BrigCs Coorner - October 2005

Category
CyberArmy
Summary
Welcome to this month's Brigade Coordinators Corner! There have been quite a few changes in the past month, so I?m going to start by looking at the major ones and making some comments about them. I will then move on to follow up last month?s article with
Body
Changes?

Snarkles Retires
I worked with Snarkles a long time ago in CPC, and I was even a joint C/O with her at one time. I then worked under her when she became CinC, first as a Brigade C/O and then as a Brigade Coordinator. I have a lot of respect for the work she has done throughout her time here, and the time and effort she has put into the community. I?m very sorry to see her step down from her position. Thanks for everything you have done, Snarkles, and I hope you pop in every now and again to see how we are doing.

Condor Promoted to CinC
Congrats to our new CinC. I worked alongside Condor as a Brigade Coordinator and I look forward to working under him in his new role. I also look forward to the new ideas that he can bring to the community.

Condor Steps Down as Brigade Coordinator
Due to Condor's new role as CinC, he has stepped down (or perhaps up) from his Brigade Coordinator position. The question becomes: who will take his place? At the moment we are discussing the matter, but my current feeling (and as far as I am aware, the feelings of the rest of exec) is that due to the high level of activity and experience of both myself and DD, there is no need to introduce another Brigade Coordinator at this time.

The Return of Scanjack.
I worked under Scanjack when he was the C/O of CPC, moving up to be his X/O. I then worked as CPC?s C/O when he was CinC. I have a lot of respect for him and look forward to working with him again.

Followup from last month?

Last month Mar. DigitalDemon wrote: ?Over the past few weeks we've had a couple of posts regarding how CyberArmy operates, and what we need to do to increase our productivity and improve our image. We would really like to hear from you, the general membership, about these issues. Please feel free to cMS the BrigC's with your thoughts or comments.?

Again we have received very few replies (personally I have received none). Please remember that the Brigade Coordinators are here to help you, but we can?t act in your best interest if we don?t know what you want. Keeping this in mind I?d like to move onto the main thought for the article?

What do you want from CyberArmy under our new leader?

I?m sure our new CinC has plans for CyberArmy, and some are already starting to filter down to the Brigade C/O level. The Staff and Exec Staff of CyberArmy also have ideas that our new CinC will be taking into consideration. What I?d like to ask you all is: what ideas do you have? This is your chance to give your ideas to our new CinC (through the Brigade Coordinators). If you have any ideas, either related to the brigade structure, or any other area of CyberArmy, we?d like to hear them.

Any ideas sent to us will be considered and passed on to CyberArmy Exec Staff. Feedback will be given in all cases. However, I don't think I can stress enough that we simply cannot improve things if we don?t know what you, the members, want to see happen.
