Summary
Welcome to the world of Lineage II, a world of mythical sorcerers and warriors, a world of beasts and magic, a world where dragons still fly.
Body
Many of you already know what Lineage II is, but I will explain it for the rest. Lineage II (otherwise known as L2) is a Massively Multiplayer Online Role Playing Game (MMORPG), which means that it is played by many people at the same time, who are all connected to various servers (sometimes over 2000 people at once). There are many free servers where you can play Lineage II, so you just have to download the client (approximately 1.5 GB). Then you can create an account and go play the game.

L2's leveling system is based on gaining experience from killing monsters and finishing quests. You also gain SP (skill points) when you kill monsters, which allows you to upgrade your skills. The world's currency is based on something called "adena" and the economy is somewhat complex compared to other MMORPGs.

There are many classes and races to choose from in L2. There are Humans, Elves, Dark Elves, Dwarves and Orcs, who can start out as either fighters or spellcasters in the beginning.

Humans are the most balanced race, as they can be either spellcasters or warriors. Their alignment is neutral, so they can use either white or black magic at the beginning. When you are a skilled spellcaster, and your alignment changes, you can cast advanced spells like Vampiric Touch (which is a spell only available to Black Wizards)

Elves are bound to the earth and aligned towards good. Dark Elves are aligned towards evil.

Orcs and Dwarves are neutrally aligned but they are not as balanced as Humans.

Now to the fighting part! Warriors are anyone who does not use magic attacks to hit his opponent. Warriors can theoretically hit everything, but they can't heal themselves magically, so before heading out to kill monsters they need to take supplies of potions. Spellcasters mostly use mana, which needs to be recharged periodically, which means that a spellcaster has to sit and rest for a period of time when fighting.

Fighting in L2 is simple. If you have a fighter, you click on your opponent to select him, then click again to attack. On higher levels, you can use SoulShots with your weapons to enchant them before hitting your opponent to inflict more damage.
If you have a spellcaster things are a bit more complicated. You have to select your opponent, and then hit him with a spell. After casting the spell you can't use it again for a short period of time. Again here you can use SpiritShots later on to increase the damage inflicted on the opponent.

Lineage II has very nice graphics, though it needs a powerful system to run smoothly and a broadband connection for the best experience, but sometimes the servers lag.

Graphics: 10/10
Sound: 9/10
Music: 8/10
Performance: 9/10
Fun: 10/10
Overall: 9.2/10

This is a very good game that you can spend many hours in either fighting or talking with people all over the world. However as a tip in another game, Baldur's Gate II, says:

"Remember that while your Player does not have to eat; you have to. We don't want to lose any dedicated players."
