Summary
CAU's mission is very much in line with my own personal goals and beliefs. In fact, I got my start teaching in "real life" due in very large part to the experience I got from teaching a class for CAU.
Body
I strongly believe in offering every opportunity possible so that those who are motivated to improve themselves and learn new things can do so. CAU takes this basic idea and expands upon it in numerous ways, and catering to a variety of learning styles:

* CAU offers "real-time" classes with an active instructor on topics as diverse as programming, security, management, and HR. This format allows students to ask questions of a instructor knowledgeable in a given field, and gain the advantages of learning in a group setting.
* They provide a very sizable knowledge bank of tutorials, rated according to quality. This is perfect for those who prefer self-directed learning.
* Their Testing Center and the forthcoming Certifications provide a concrete measure of ability, which can be applied to things such as brigade recruitment, personal development, or even just for fun.
* Additionally, they foster members who like to investigate very deeply into a particular subject, such as the CyberArmy Advanced Hardware Projects brigade.

Providing educational outlets always has been and always will be a fundamental part of the very core of CyberArmy, and the folks at CAU have done an amazing job in organizing opportunities for people both within and outside of CA to improve their skills. I strongly urge each and every member of CA to contribute to CAU where they can: teach a class in a subject you're very knowledgeable in (or even want to learn more about - there's no better way to learn a subject than by trying to teach it!); submit tutorials, tests, or certifications; even check out the tutorials in the Knowledge Bank and rate them according to how helpful they were. Every little bit helps make CAU an excellent collection of resources and further enhances the efforts of the CAU team.
